Eamonn Holmes to address fans on GB News

According to The Sun The breakfast show host knows he has to be honest with viewers.

A source said: “Eamonn is always frank on camera and knows it will be odd for him to discuss the day’s news without mentioning his split so he’ll say a few words.

“He is putting on a brave face and will be the true professional he always is. Focusing on work will be a welcome distraction.”

The publication also reported Eamonn had moved out of the couple’s home into a property nearby. Some reports are also suggesting they have been separated for a year.

It has been a difficult time for Eamonn and Ruth as she has continued to care for him during his battle with chronic pain. After operations to his back, he then fell and broke his shoulder. Eamonn also uses a walking aid and has been pictured in a wheelchair.

Speaking to Woman’s Weekly, Ruth shared news of Eamonn’s condition: “I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope. He does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100% right.

“With any care situation – and there are millions of carers in this country – it isn’t always easy. It’s testing but we manage as a family.”

Ruth added: “I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is.”

Social media silence

As it stands neither Eamonn nor Ruth has commented on the marriage breakdown on social media. However, Eamonn did post to Instagram yesterday after Manchester United won the FA Cup.

Avid Manchester United fan Eamonn, shared a portrait of him and former manager Sir Alex Ferguson. He captioned the image: “My God, what a Cup Final, what a result! #MUFC European football next season too. The Magic of The Cup. Congratulations to the whole squad.”

However some fans took the opportunity to talk about Eamonn’s relationship. It attracted annoyance from other followers who said the post was nothing to do with his private life.

“Ffs this post/photo is about football!! People need to stop bringing up his personal life and mind your own [bleep] business! Its nothing to do with anyone else!!!!!” raged one.
